Ace Powell was a Montana-born artist who was known for his Western art. He was born in 1912 in Montana and lived there for most of his life. Throughout his career, Powell created paintings, sculptures, and murals that depicted life in the American West. His work often featured cowboys, Native Americans, and wildlife in dynamic, action-packed scenes. His art was shown in galleries and museums throughout the United States, and he received numerous awards and accolades for his work. Some of his most notable works include his mural "The Last Great Buffalo Hunt" in the Montana State Capitol and his bronze statue of Lewis and Clark in Great Falls, Montana. He passed away in 1978 at the age of 66.
